GENERAL INFORMATION
The Joyful Journey is a global event celebrating Montessori education, bringing together educators, administrators, parents, and enthusiasts from around the world to explore the philosophy’s legacy, present impact, and future.
The congress will take place from May 1 to 4, 2026, at the Centro Internacional de Congresos de Yucatán in Mérida, Mexico.
The congress is ideal for Montessori educators, school administrators, parents, researchers, and anyone interested in Montessori education or innovative approaches to human development.
REGISTRATION AND FEES

The registration fees are tiered:

Ticket $550 USD

Ticket includes programm events (except cocktail and dinner unless selected), coffee breaks, two days lunch and special amenities.
Mexico and Latin American countries have a benefit of a 10% coupon*
*ID and proof of address must be provided for the coupon.
The fee covers access to all keynote sessions, workshops, coffee breaks, two days lunch, cultural activities onsite, and networking opportunities. Opening Cocktail and Special Dinner are available for an extra cost when registering. Travel, accommodations, and optional tours are not included.

EVENT LOGISTICS
Yes, all plenary sessions will include simultaneous interpretation in English and Spanish. Breakout rooms will be divided into English only and Spanish only.
Childcare services will not be provided, but Mérida offers family-friendly options for participants traveling with children.
Yes, the congress will feature cultural workshops onsite, and optional guided tours of Mérida and its surroundings will be available for an additional cost.
TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATIONS
Mérida is accessible via the Mérida International Airport (MID), with direct flights from several major cities. You can also travel by bus or car from Cancún, which is approximately 3.5 hours away.
Yes, the congress venue is surrounded by a variety of hotels to suit all budgets. A list of recommended hotels with special rates for attendees will be provided closer to the event.
Depending on your nationality, a visa may be required. Please check with your local Mexican consulate or embassy to confirm entry requirements.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The program includes keynote presentations, plenary sessions, workshops, and breakout rooms. Attendees can choose breakout sessions based on their interests and professional needs.
