The City
Mérida, the cultural heart of Yucatán, is a vibrant city blending Mayan heritage with colonial charm. Known for its safety and rich traditions, it offers an inspiring setting for the International Montessori Congress 2026. Held at the modern Centro Internacional de Congresos, the event ensures a seamless and enriching experience with simultaneous interpretation and nearby accommodations.
The Venue
The International Congress Center of Yucatán is the space where our Joyful Journey comes to life. Modern, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, it offers the ideal setting for connection, dialogue, and shared discovery. As one of the most advanced conference centers in southeastern Mexico, it provides the technology and comfort needed for our international gathering.

The Host Hotel
The Fiesta Americana Mérida is the official host hotel of the International Montessori Congress 2026, a welcoming home for our global community throughout the Joyful Journey. Located on Avenida Colón, just steps from the iconic Paseo de Montejo and only one block away from the Centro Internacional de Congresos, it offers both convenience and connection at the heart of the city.
As our host hotel, it will be a central gathering point where conversations continue, friendships deepen, and ideas take root. The Pinar
El Pinar will host our Opening Cocktail (with prior registration), offering a beautiful and meaningful beginning to our Joyful Journey. This historic residence, one of Mérida’s architectural treasures, reflects the elegance and cultural richness of Yucatán. Surrounded by lush gardens and timeless design, it provides an intimate and inspiring setting for our first gathering as a global community.
